Hans Zonderop

Hans Zonderop is 1st percussionist in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. He studied in Utrecht with, among others, Michael de Roo and Keiko Abe. During and after his studies he played in various orchestras and ensembles such as the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

Hans was also a percussionist in Circle Percussion. In this ensemble he specialized in playing Japanese drums. He has toured all over the world with Circle Percussion, together with the Dutch Dance Theatre, Keiko Abe and the Japanese percussion group KODO. In addition to his work in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestram, Hans Zonderop is a teacher at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and percussionist in the prestigious Luzern Festival Orchestra.
