The Hamlet piano trio was created in 2020 inside the Conservatorium Maastricht under the guidance of Anastasia Safonova. The trio is made up of the violinist Petra Heric, a pupil of Boris Belkin, the cellist Pelayo Cuéllar Sarmiento, a pupil of Alexander Chausian, and the pianist Aleandro Giuseppe Libano, a pupil of Joop Celis.
Petra Heric started to play the violin at the early age of 6 years old in music school Vrhnika, where she was soon recognized as a child prodigy. She continued her studies at Conservatory for music and ballet in Ljubljana, where she was an exceptional student of professor Primoz Novsak. She is currently a student of Professor Boris Belkin at Conservatorium Maastricht. Professor Belkin choose her for two scholarships at Accademia Chigiana in Siena. Petra is the receiver of many awards and golden prizes from national and international competitions. As a soloist and in an ensemble, she performed on many important venues in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, and Italy.
Born in 1995 (Gijón, Spain), Pelayo Cuéllar began his cello studies at the age of four, encouraged by the musical environment that surround his family. With a musical education based on the Russian tradition of playing the cello, Pelayo developed his studies in Asturias (Spain) and the Netherlands, where continues his master degree at the Maastricht Conservatory. As a great passionate about chamber music and the orchestra, the cellist is part of various groups that have led him to play in countries such as Spain, Germany, the United States, Romania, Hungary, Portugal and the Netherlands.
Versatile Italian musician, Aleandro Giuseppe Libano is considered by Angelo Arciglione, one of his guides, as “a young pianist who has embarked on a brilliant career” that sees him protagonist in concerts in Italy and abroad. In previous years, he played in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden. He is a prizewinner in many national and international competitions in Italy. He is currently studying at Conservatorium Maastricht with Prof. Joop Celis and he gained a piano diploma at Conservatorio di Musica “G. Martucci” in Salerno with the highest marks cum laude and special mention under the guidance of Prof. Giulio De Luca. In 2021 he received “Willem Mengelberg” financial support from the Concertgebouworkest foundation in Amsterdam.
