After 33 years of playing together and looking back on a wonderful career, the unsurpassed Osiris Trio will cease to exist in the summer of 2022.
Because of their decades of close and special bond, our artistic leader Henk Guittart asked them to celebrate their real goodbye during Orlando, performing their favorite compositions. This has resulted in a beautiful colorful ‘bouquet’, characteristic of the Osiris Trio and representative of Orlando’s programming, with repertoire from the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
You will have seven chances to say goodbye to the Osiris Trio, with compositions by Frank Martin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Ron Ford, Franz Schreker, Klas Torstensson and Olivier Messiaen. In three works the Osiris Trio agrees with guest musicians: soprano Charlotte Riedijk, clarinetist Bart de Kater, hornist Ron Schaaper and clarinetist Alan R. Kay (by popular request in a repeat of Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin du temps).
And of course there will be a nice farewell party!
